Our original bird rig, which has been deemed "The Bird" is a daisy chain that consists of a Mold Craft little bird, 2 - 4-1/2" octopus skirts, a Mold Craft Little Hooker, and an 8/0 Mustad 7407SSDT hook rigged with 12' of 150lb monofilament leader. Includes chafe protection and a bait spring for easy rigging. We tested and refined our bird rig in the Florida Keys and it has proven highly successful for multiple species along the entire east coast of Florida. We've rigged it multiple ways with different lure combinations over the years but have found the the original version was the best. Overly simple yet highly productive, we don't leave the dock without them.
